Emergency Board Up Services
We board up broken windows, kicked-in doors, and other openings on homes and businesses. We cut 1/2" or 5/8" CDX plywood to size on site and fasten it with exterior screws. Because we carry our own generator and circular saw, we can do the work even when the power is out. If a door frame is damaged, we lock the plywood in place with 2x4 cross bracing and carriage bolts.
Storm Damage Board Up
When wind, hail, or a fallen tree takes out windows, sliders, or doors, we cover the openings with plywood and seal the edges with plastic sheeting to keep rain out. Before the boards go on, we clear loose glass from the frames with gloves and a pry bar so nothing falls out later.
Fire Damage Board Up
Fire crews often have to break out windows and doors. We board over those openings with plywood anchored into solid framing with structural screws, and we add padlocked hasps to entry doors. That keeps the building closed up until repairs begin.
Roof Tarping
We cover holes left by storms or fire with heavy-duty poly tarps. Each tarp is fastened down with 1x4 furring strips and cap nails, so it holds through the wind until your roofer arrives.
Board Up Removal
Once the glass, doors, or roof are repaired, we back out the screws with an impact driver, pull the plywood and furring strips, and haul everything away.
How Much Does Emergency Board Up Cost?
Emergency board up typically runs $285 to $2,650, depending on how many openings need covering and how big they are. Expect the higher end for after-hours calls, second-story windows that require a ladder, or damaged door frames that need 2x4 cross bracing.
